This project was a true family home makeover, completed entirely through my virtual e-design package. The brief included an open-plan living extension and two bedroom redesigns for the family’s daughters — each space needing to feel personal, functional, and full of character.

In the open-plan area, we extended outwards to create a brighter, more generous living, dining, and kitchen zone. The dated French doors were replaced with large sliding doors that now frame the garden beautifully and lead directly onto new decking — creating an easy indoor/outdoor flow that works perfectly for family life. A simple but striking dining setup grounds the space and draws the eye outwards to the garden.

For the bedrooms, each daughter’s space was given its own personality. One design centred around a calm, grown-up desk area, with warm textures, layered lighting, and shelves for display. The other was designed to be more playful, with statement wall panelling, cosy lighting, and plenty of storage to keep the space both stylish and practical.

The best part? This was all done virtually. Through video consultations, mood boards, 2D/3D visuals, shopping lists, and clear step-by-step installation guides, the family were able to bring the designs to life at their own pace — with my support just a call away.

The result is a home that feels cohesive, modern, and tailored to the way this family really lives. It proves how effective e-design can be: flexible, collaborative, and delivering results that feel just as bespoke as in-person design.
